There are three steps to have your Parent Plus Loan posted to your student's account.

1. Your student must accept the Plus Loan on their Award Letter on Cougarnet.
2. The parent must apply for the loan at www.studentaid.gov. This application must be completed each school year, preferably in early July.
3. For first-time borrowers, the parent must sign a Master Promissory Note.

Once the above steps are completed, it may take up to ten business days to appear on the student's account.  For more information, please visit the website, https://www.siue.edu/financial-aid/ or contact the Student Financial Aid Office at 618-650-3880 or finaid@siue.edu.  You must be an authorized 3rd party and provide your student's full name and ID number, your name and your authorized security password.
