IE Students, Faculty, and Alumni bring home awards at 2025 School of Engineering Honors Reception

On April 10, 2025, the Industrial Engineering department was proud to honor its high-achieving students, faculty and alumni. Pictured from left to right are department chair, Dr. Sinan Onal, IE Junior Riley Meyer, IE Graduate Student Akosua Cobbina, IE Senior Mirella Eldridge, IE Junior Teagan Nodorft, IE Junior Olivia Guinn, IE Graduate Student Jalil Abdulahi, and Dean of the School of Engineering Cem Karacal.
In addition to those pictured here, IE Alumnus Ikechukwu Ohu and IE Faculty Dr. Hoosang Ko received awards. The IE department is very proud of all of these individuals and grateful for their outstanding work and contributions to our department. The full list of awardees and honors is listed below.
Jalil Abdulahi - Outstanding Graduate Student and National Society of Black Engineers Scholarship.
Akosua Cobbina - National Society of Black Engineers Scholarship and SooBok Wee Industrial Engineering Scholarship.
Mirella Eldridge - Outstanding IE Senior, Kay Guse Founder's Award for Student Leadership, and Bill and Jean Luan School of Engineering Scholarship. Mirella is also an officer for the Society of Women Engineers, which won the Outstanding Student Group Award.
Olivia Guinn - SooBok Wee Industrial Engineering Scholarship.
Ikechukwu Ohu - Outsanding Alumnus Award
Dr. Hoosang Ko - Outstanding Teacher Award
Riley Meyer - Kay Guse Family Industrial Engineering Scholarship.
Teagan Nodorft - Outstanding IE Junior and Edwardsville Community Foundation Disaster Preparedness Scholarship.
