Limited Submission: NEH Chair’s Grants, 160th Anniversary of Juneteenth – LOI Due in Kuali Build by November 19

Due to only one proposal per institution, interested SIUE applicants must apply to the internal competition by completing the Limited Submission form in Kuali Build by the Third Tuesday in November (November 19) by 4:30 pm.
About the Program
The NEH Call for Proposals: NEH Chair’s Grants, 160th Anniversary of Juneteenth is in celebration of the 160th anniversary of Juneteenth. The NEH Chair invites Chair’s Grant requests of up to $30,000 to support free Juneteenth Open House events exploring African American history and culture taking place between June 13, 2025 –July 6, 2025.
SIUE Internal Competition Submission Deadlines
- Notice of Intent submitted via Kuali Build Application by the third Tuesday in November by 4:30 pm.
- Pre-submission materials uploaded through Kuali Build Application by the first Friday in December by 4:30 pm. (if an internal competition is required).
- Internal submissions will be reviewed by an ad hoc committee by the second Friday in December. Only one successful SIUE internal applicant will be invited to prepare and submit a full proposal to the NEH for consideration.
- NEH deadline for full proposal submission to agency (only one SIUE-nominated applicant): January 15, 2025.
