• Must be actively enrolled in a graduate program at SIUE (either Engineering or Humanities)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Interest in teaching with technology
• Interest or experience in teaching information literacy
• Able to work independently as well as on a team
• Must be available during morning and afternoon hours during the summer.
• Must be prepared to begin work/training starting May 12th, 2025.
The BML graduate assistant plays a crucial role in both the day-to-day operations of the Biomedical Library and in empowering students to develop deeper library researching skills. Working at the Biomedical Library at the School of Dental Medicine campus in Alton, Illinois, this position is responsible for answering general and subject-specific reference questions in-person and via email, phone, and online chat. The position is also responsible for staffing the combined information and circulation desk, helping patrons with printing, scanning, and lab computers, opening and closing and safety procedures, and other tasks as assigned.
