Proxy Access FAQ
For Proxies
How do I get proxy access?
Your student must set up proxy access for you in CougarNet. University faculty and staff cannot provide proxy access to you.
How do I use Proxy Access to see my student's documents?
When you are first designated a proxy, you will receive three e-mail messages. Two are for setting up your proxy account, and the third contains a permanent link to the proxy system to use after you're set up. You can find more information on how to set up proxy access in our tutorial.
Can I be a proxy for more than one student?
Yes. Any number of students can designate you as their proxy. After you set up your account the first time, you will only receive one e-mail at a time notifying you of new proxy access. When you log in, you will see a list of your students and a drop-down menu of what documents each has given you access to.
What information can I see with proxy access?
Your student will designate what information you can see. University faculty and staff cannot change these settings for you. You cannot make changes to this information via proxy access.
My password expired / I forgot my password / I've lost the link to the proxy access page.
Your student can generate a password reset email from their Proxy Management page. They can also re-send the email with the permanent link, or you can find it on the front page of CougarNet.
