Preparing for Orientation
If you’re a first-year student or a transfer student with less than 30 credit hours, you must pay a $190 enrollment fee to confirm your enrollment.
You can pay this fee through your application portal. Please note that this fee is non-refundable. Once your payment is processed, you will receive an email inviting you to sign up for New Student Orientation.
International Students: We warmly welcome you to SIUE! There’s no need to register for New Student Orientation; you’ll receive important information and guidance from our dedicated International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) team. They are here to support you every step of the way!
Before your orientation day, please make sure to activate your eID and visit the SIUE Orientation Portal to find your personalized onboarding checklist.
Activate Your eID
To access the SIUE Orientation Portal, you must activate your eID. Your eID is your key to unlocking SIUE’s online resources—your Orientation Portal, CougarNet, and SIUE email.
- First-Year Students: You must pay your enrollment deposit in the application portal before you can access the SIUE Orientation Portal. Once that’s completed, you’ll be all set to activate your eID.
- Transfer Students: You can activate your eID as soon as you’ve been accepted to SIUE.
