Mental Health Trainings
COMING SOON: Question, Persuade, Refer Suicide Prevention Training
Thanks to generous funding from the Illinois Board of Higher Education SIUE will make approximately 1,200 QPR Suicide Prevention Trainings available for SIUE students, faculty, and staff. The QPR Gatekeeper training, a self-paced online training that takes about 1 hour to complete, will be offered at no charge through June 30, 2025.
Be There Certificate
Through SIUE's partnership with TimelyCare, students, faculty, and staff are able to earn the Be There Certificate. Participants can learn to support someone struggling with their mental health through this online course created by Jack.org in partnership with the Born This Way Foundation. Visit betherecertificate.org and click on the "Take the Course" button at the top right corner of the page. At the login page, click on "Create an Account." You will need to use your siue.edu email address to be verified to access the training.
